Strategic Human Resource Management and Performance of Selected Deposit Money Banks in Abuja, Nigeria

The objective of this study was to assess the impact strategic human resource management (extensive training, empowerment, performance appraisal and based pay) on organizational (service quality) selected deposit money banks in Abuja. a survey research sampling opinion 77 staff Zenith, Polaris, First bank city monument bank, Bwari branch. Their collected using structured questionnaire. data obtained analysed descriptive inferential statistics. hypotheses were tested by means correlation multiple regressions. found significant relationship between extensive empowerment pay service quality. There is also concluded that Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) important for improved quality Nigerian therefore recommended among others necessity every be properly equipped with skills, technical know-how required carry out their task effectively; Training programs should target specific need areas employees organized timely given rate market technology changes; Performance centred pointing strength whilst addressing ways improve them where they are weak. Also Banks’ formulate implement an active reward policy linked overall strategy. ensure employees’ rewards matched efforts.
